About Me
I am a full-time homemaker living in a suburb of Leesburg, Virginia, wife of 23 years to the most wonderful husband a woman could ask for, and mother of three. Our two sons are college-age (one is at UVA and the other will be a VT Hokie when he finishes this gap year), and our daughter is (gulp!) suddenly in high school. You'll probably see me writing about her a lot, as she gives me much to think about - God made her perfectly and teaches me so much through her.
If you are a parent of a child with Autism yourself, I hope you find you can identify with some of our experiences, and are somehow encouraged to read what I write.
I am deeply in love with my Savior - my relationship with Him began some 40 years ago when I knelt with my dad beside my bed and asked Jesus to come into my heart. My journey with God has been made sweeter by His constant reminders to me of His presence. I don't know where I would be without Him.
Please keep in mind something that I am so very eager to tell you: I am a very imperfect, flawed sinner. In no way would I ever want to come across as having it all figured out, so to speak. I do stand on the truth that I am loved, I am forgiven, I am considered righteous because the gift I have accepted through the blood of Jesus Christ, and I'm confident that my Heavenly Father made me for a purpose and is cheering for me. Not only that, but I am also so glad that God isn't finished with me yet - I am pretty sure that He will still be chiselling away at me until the day I die.
Thanks for reading my blogs, because y'know, sometimes, I just get to thinking....
Blessings,
~Jen
